The oldest section, Section 1, has more rows of graves on the right side than on the left. On the All Name Index this is shown as: L9 is on the left side while the right side has R9 and R9A, etc. This is the case for rows 8-14. See map below.


The central part of Section 1 does not have burial plot information for this reason:
In the 1940's an invasive plant called the "White Cemetery Iris," which has sharp pointy leaf tips and resembles a yucca, spread unchecked in the cemetery. Having failed all attempts to control and remove these nuisance plants, it was decided to move the gravestones to the side and plow out the invasive roots. When the ground was clear and ready, the people replacing the grave markers weren't completely certain if the markers were back in the "exact" locations because they hadn't made a map! People included on this site as buried in Sec 1 but with no row number are probably interred in this central space very near, if not exactly, where their gravestones are now.
